BIO

Daniel Chudovský is composer and pianist who works in the field of artificial music. 

He was born in 1991 in Banská Bystrica, Slovakia.


After self-study of organ playing, he became a student of the Conservatory in Žilina, Slovakia.

In 2010 he graduated in composition, opera singing and piano. In the same year he began studying composition at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague with professor Ivan Kurz and piano with professor Hanuš Bartoň. He graduated in 2018 as a Ph.D. 


He is the author of many compositions, mostly orchestral music with a focus on micro-interval music. He has collaborated with a number of orchestral ensembles, chamber ensembles and important soloists in the Czech Republic and abroad. As a pianist, he mainly performs 20th century music and contemporary music. In his work, he applies in the first place non-musical stimuli converted into a musical structure of compositions, which subsequently influences the world of microintervals. 


Daniel Chudovsky is a member of many composers' associations. In his work we can also find film music, electroacoustic music and numerous uses of the spoken word. His music has been performed at many major contemporary music festivals and is a sought-after author with a Jewish theme. He is also the author of several publications on micro-interval music and its psychological aspects.
